After desperately cramming as much information as I can on the upcoming elections for my Basic Media Writing assignment, I've got a prediction to make about this year's elecions:
The opposition party would get more seats this year than the previous years, with possibly an unexpected win of maybe one seat in a big-shot GRC. Hooray for all who believe Singapore's political scene needs one helluva breath of fresh air.
Of course, this means that on the next elections, it will be the Return of the Amazing Disappearing GRCs (like Cheng San in 2001 and Eunos in 1997) because PM Lee would have learnt his lesson (so to speak), a la SM Goh back when he first became PM.
Such is the sad state of our country.
