I realized I've been cheating on my blog posts this whole time.

If you click on the music labels, you'll realize that quite a hefty number of posts involve me putting up the lyrics of a bunch of songs. Granted, the lyrics are up there because I love the song and/or the lyrics. But it's also just a lazy way for me to update this blog.

Hm. Blog seems vaguely dusty of late. Okay shall add nice song lyrics. Lalala.

Okay. Shall try my best to stop with that.
(And this sentence marks the reason why this post will now achieve the label of false promises.)

In other news, watched Iron Man a couple days ago with HY. It was great catching up with her, especially since we've both been so busy the last couple of months. (BTW, sorry for the super late birthday present. Haha.) Glad to hear things have been going good for her.

Iron Man was pretty cool. Love the technology that Tony Stark lives by. 3D computer complete with a 3D trash can? Way cooler than dragging and dropping to the recycle bin on my very 2D desktop. And I love how his computer and gadgets are as snarky as him. Like the little mechanical arm with the extinguisher. And Jarvis. I absolutely adore Jarvis. (Random bit of trivia: Jarvis is voiced by the charmingly English Paul Bettany. Yumm.)

And the cars. OMG. Tony Stark has the most divine car collection. Well. Minus one now after he crashed into his gorgeous restored convertible.

I'll admit that Gwyneth Paltrow was completely under utilized as being Stark's sidekick/love interest Pepper Potts. Still, if the bonus sequence after the credits is any indication, Miss Potts might have her chance in the sequels to come. Speaking of, *spoiler alert-highlight if you want to know* Samuel L Jackson looks to be a pretty darn cool Nick Fury.

And of course, me being me, I have to make a note about the rocking soundtrack. Ramin Djawadi is perfect at building suspense with steady rhythmic beats and the slow intensifying buildup of music as it races towards an impressive climax. Of course, building suspense must be second nature to him after creating music for suspensive cliffhanger-y moments on practically every episode of this little tv show called (wait for it, wait for it) Prison Break.

Isn't that so cool?

(Beat.)

Fine, fine. I'm impressed. You can be whatever the hell you want to be. So there.
