all you want to see is make believe

I have returned!

Returned with many many photos (which might be posted one day if and when I feel like it), new shorts and Birks, an emptier wallet, and a much MUCH fuller tummy. In need of exercise. Which I will get to. Eventually. Right.

Also returned with a laptop charger that isn't working and a laptop with no battery left. So technically, am laptopless. Am sad.

And returned to the drudgery of work to find out more drudgery has been added on. Observe:

According to the internship guide thingy, my period of attachment is from 2nd January to 14th June 2008. Now, if you'll look at a lovely calendar, it says June 14th is a Saturday. So in actual fact, my last day of work would be Friday the 13th, right?

Wrong.

Because thanks to people who really really know how to squeeze an intern for all her worth, I now have to go on a shoot on the 14th from 7am to 7pm. Thanks for the fabulous send off.

And did I add that apart from going on shoot (during which I will be bossed around by a true blue moron), I'm also hunting for locations? This is the result of cheapskaters making full use of the intern so they don't have to spend money hiring someone else.

I end in ten days, and I'm certain that on the night of that tenth day, I will be significantly happier, less grouchy, and much more lighthearted and over the moon than I've ever been in the last 165 days.
