woohoo!

YAY SPAIN!!!!

Okay, some of you may know that I'm a bit of a Germany fan when it comes to soccer, but I'm also actually a bit of a Spain fan too.

Admittedly, I'm not much of a soccer fan. I have no idea who's in what league in the EPL, and I honestly wouldn't care. I wouldn't stay up late to watch an EPL match.

But when it comes to championship games like the Euro Cup, and of course the World Cup, that's when I start tuning in, although I only start paying attention from around the quarter-finals, if not just the finals. This is partly because I don't have any sports channels (a fact which I bemoan every time a Grand Slam tournament is up, like now. *Whines*) so it's a bit of a pain to drag myself to my sister's place to watch anything.

Still, Starhub was kind enough to air the Euro finals last night, and may I say that it was one helluva match. Germany played with their usual determination, but they were no match for Spain's truly excellent teamwork. In an entirely exciting match, Spain emerged as the well-deserved winner.

So one more time:

YAY SPAIN!!!
