and the axe comes down

The TV world is getting screwed.

ABC has cancelled Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money.

While admittedly DSM wasn't doing too great, PD was still up to form with its quirk-factor and hilarious lines and absolutely lovable characters. And the worst part is they're ending on a cliffhanger. That's just swell. Creator Bryan Fuller says he'll wrap things up via a comic book, but he's also in the talks for a movie, so *fingers crossed*

And on a side note, why on earth are completely uncreative and absolutely bitchy reality shows still going strong while all these excellent shows are getting axed all over the place? Seriously. The American TV public has appallingly horrid taste. I've so got Wes Mendell's "lobotomized by a candy-assed broadcast network" speech running through my mind now. Grumbles.

Okay. Done ranting.
