Politics have been fought and won. But while the real world witnesses Obama's victory landslide into the White House, TV land encounters an abrupt huh moment.
*Here be spoilers*
For all the Grey's Anatomy fans who've been watching Callie and Erica (aka Callica) fumble their way into a relationship, take a breath, 'cause Erica says bye-bye this week. For good.
As reported by Scoop King Michael Ausiello, Brooke Smith was abruptly fired off the hit ABC series because the suits didn't like the controversial take on lesbianism/bisexuality, and weren't too fond of Dr. Erica Hahn herself. And I do mean abrupt, because she's not even getting a farewell scene from the show - her final scene just has her leaving work in her car.
And for greater irony, one of the upcoming long-arc guest stars is playing Meredith's bisexual buddy. Which just leaves me going hurh. How is Erica discovering homosexuality different from Callie or Mer's new/old pal? Or Saul and his new manfriend on Brothers & Sisters?
Seriously. What's up, ABC?
*Here endeth spoilers*
In other TV-meets-reality news, now that Obama's won, I'm guessing Rory Gilmore's done covering his campaign news and is probably off to New York to watch Lorelei doing Guys and Dolls on Broadway with White House Chief Counsel Oliver Babish.
