I don't know if I'm being a perfectionist and demanding too much of others, or if people around me are just so fucking lazy. Seriously.
Does it take so much effort to keep track of paperwork? Maybe if you weren't playing games on facebook every fucking day you might be able to, oh I don't know, do your goddamn job?? And incidentally, going on holiday without handing over your work to us is just PERFECT. Because now when we need to know what's been done, we have to ask everyone to help us out and look like perfect morons doing it. So, thanks. Working with you is a SWELL experience.
And let's all be as considerate as you. Just gabbing non-stop while I'm desperately rushing to finish up my work. At 7 freaking pm. I know you want to go home. Just GO already so I can actually do my work in peace.
Good god. Just kill me now why don't you.
sit down and spill your heart, let's start from the very start.

Okay seriously. It's already been a crazy long day. Been at work for 12 hours straight with barely a break in the day. Why won't any of you give me some peace now that I'm finally home?! Stop saying things like how stupid I am to be working so hard, or how I'm such a moron, or giving suggestions that you think will help improve things when you don't even know what my work is like. Just so you know, if I took your "suggestions" I'd probaby be working twice as hard. So just do mr a favour and just shut the hell up already and let me have a peaceful night. Just for once stop putting me down. Or is it just too fucking hard for all of you to shut up and mind your own business?

you know what. do me a favour and stop pretending you know me so damn well. you haven't deigned to be a friend except when you've needed one so don't bother acting as if you know everything when you haven't even been around. which, incidentally, is the reason why i have no patience to tell you anything real about my life anymore. so you constantly asking me what's going on? at this point you just sound like you're trolling for gossip. also, can i just add that conversations with you are really just your one-sided self-absorption monologues? for a conversation to really be one, you actually do have to hear the other party instead of cursorily listening then bringing it back to you and your woes and your shit. here's a reality check. you're not the only one with shit to deal with. you're just the only one who talks endlessly about it.
seriously. can i just say what a real swell friend you've been.

Okay, seriously. I know things suck right now. I'm doing my best to be there for you. In fact, I think I'm doing a pretty decent job of it right now. Enough that I already feel like I'm dying every day.
So is it too much to ask that on what is possibly my last Saturday off in oh, say, EVER, you don't conveniently FORGET that you told me we'd hang out?
Seriously. Thanks so fucking much.

I would seriously like to stop being the default go-to person for everything. It's bad enough that you guys randomly suggest things we should do and then skip happily along while automatically assuming that I will take care of everything.
Now you're just submitting my email for all of this when there's a group email that was set up set up specifically for this. An email account that, might I add, everyone was supposed to be reading through too.
But, of course, it's just me reading the five daily emails since none of you even remember what the fucking password is.
So let me just say it's real swell of you to think I have nothing better to do than to spend all my time working on this. Especially since I actually have real work to do. Work that I was actually hired to do. Work that pays.
Seriously. Thanks. Thanks SO much.

the unfortunate life on buses
Has anyone noticed how certain bus services have nice shiny new buses? Like 36 and 48, where the air-con works and the seats aren't dirty/gross/broken/all of the above.
And then there are buses like 179 and 93 that are perpetually dingy and battered and completely not air-conditioned, which makes for SUCH great fun on hot humid days.
And now guess which bus services I take to work and school (i.e. the buses I take all the time).

you have got to be kidding me
Just because I can't muster up an interest in either the Isabel Allende or Joy Fielding books that you bought, you think I'm limited?!
First off, let me just say that I've read many books over the years for school or class or work, and not all of them were great books to read (ahem Abraham's Promise). So if I'm gonna be reading a book voluntarily, it better be a book that interests me from the get go. If I have to work to like what I'm reading, then what the hell am I reading it for.
Secondly, considering the fact that you are among one of, if not the most judgmental close-minded people I know, you're calling me limited?
And finally, have you even seen my bookshelf? I may not be the world's most varied reader, but the fact that I have Gaiman, Kerouac, Kazuo Ishiguro, Dame Christie, LBD books, Mike Gayle, Jostein Gaarder, Austen, Nora Roberts and WB Yeats among dozens of other authors on my shelves while you refuse to read anything but what you believe in just makes you calling me limited the greatest irony ever.

lopsided view of the world
Been having the most ridiculous neck cramp these past two days. Seriously. All I did was wake up, turn my head and *bampf* neck cramp. For TWO frickin days. Been walking around with my head pathetically tilted to one side and not being able to turn more then 45 degrees to any side. I've been getting a lopsided view of the world.
Seriously. This is just plain ridiculous. I mean, all I did was wake up.

killing me loudly with your songs
My neighbours are seriously disturbing the hell outta me.
First there was incessant piano playing. Now there's incessant Chinese pop karaoke singing. If they were good, or even just moderately decent, I would have no issues with it. But they're not.
Maybe it's time they thought about investing in soundproof walls. Agh.

and the axe comes down
The TV world is getting screwed.
ABC has cancelled Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money.
While admittedly DSM wasn't doing too great, PD was still up to form with its quirk-factor and hilarious lines and absolutely lovable characters. And the worst part is they're ending on a cliffhanger. That's just swell. Creator Bryan Fuller says he'll wrap things up via a comic book, but he's also in the talks for a movie, so *fingers crossed*
And on a side note, why on earth are completely uncreative and absolutely bitchy reality shows still going strong while all these excellent shows are getting axed all over the place? Seriously. The American TV public has appallingly horrid taste. I've so got Wes Mendell's "lobotomized by a candy-assed broadcast network" speech running through my mind now. Grumbles.
Okay. Done ranting.

OMG. Lea Salonga is doing Cinderella and Sam Mendes is directing Ethan Hawke in The Winter's Tale. At the Esplanade.
*Shrieks*
Of course, the fact that it costs a complete fortune with absolutely no student discounts (or, really, any discount whatsoever) makes me just want to bawl. Or rob a bank.
Why oh why do shows in Singapore have to be so expensive. Whimpers.

fire up the lesbian girls
Politics have been fought and won. But while the real world witnesses Obama's victory landslide into the White House, TV land encounters an abrupt huh moment.
*Here be spoilers*
For all the Grey's Anatomy fans who've been watching Callie and Erica (aka Callica) fumble their way into a relationship, take a breath, 'cause Erica says bye-bye this week. For good.
As reported by Scoop King Michael Ausiello, Brooke Smith was abruptly fired off the hit ABC series because the suits didn't like the controversial take on lesbianism/bisexuality, and weren't too fond of Dr. Erica Hahn herself. And I do mean abrupt, because she's not even getting a farewell scene from the show - her final scene just has her leaving work in her car.
And for greater irony, one of the upcoming long-arc guest stars is playing Meredith's bisexual buddy. Which just leaves me going hurh. How is Erica discovering homosexuality different from Callie or Mer's new/old pal? Or Saul and his new manfriend on Brothers & Sisters?
Seriously. What's up, ABC?
*Here endeth spoilers*
In other TV-meets-reality news, now that Obama's won, I'm guessing Rory Gilmore's done covering his campaign news and is probably off to New York to watch Lorelei doing Guys and Dolls on Broadway with White House Chief Counsel Oliver Babish.

aghhhhh!
CRAPP. I knew I should've gone for Lifehouse :(
I can't believe they sang Simon.
And. I. Missed. It. *sobs*
Storm. In Jason Wade's heartbreak voice. Live. Sighs and double sighs.

ohmigod you guys!
I cannot believe they've made a reality TV series searching for the new Elle Woods for the Legally Blonde musical. And ohmigod, the girls totally can't compare to Laura Bell Bundy.
Sighs so much for me getting to see the original Broadway cast perform it live. Oh wells. Let's hope Christian Borle and Orfeh don't leave so soon either.

wrong number
You know what really pisses me off sometimes? Rude arseholes who dial wrong numbers and don't even have the courtesy to apologize.
Observe:
Phone rings. I run frantically from my computer to the phone because no one is patient enough to wait for the phone to ring more than one time anymore. Pick up.
Me: Hello.
Arse: ...
Me: Hello??
Arse: ...
Me: HELLO?!!
Arse: *mumbles an incoherent name*
Me: What???
Arse: *mumbles incoherent name again*
(At which point I'm thinking, dude. I didn't get you the first time. Speak CLEARER.)
Me: Er. Wrong number.
And being the arse that he is, the arse just bloody hangs up on me.
Talk about a WTF moment.

if i had loads of cash...
...I would totally buy tickets to Singfest. Am completely dying to watch Jason Mraz and OneRepublic and Travis. Sighs but Travis is playing on Sat while Mraz and OneRepublic are on Sun. Tickets for the whole weekend are going for $300.
Cue eyes popping wide open.
And I just heard from Kenneth that Mraz is going to be in Perth and tix are going for 50 AUD there.
Thanks a bunch, Singapore. *muttergrumblegrouch*

I have returned!
Returned with many many photos (which might be posted one day if and when I feel like it), new shorts and Birks, an emptier wallet, and a much MUCH fuller tummy. In need of exercise. Which I will get to. Eventually. Right.
Also returned with a laptop charger that isn't working and a laptop with no battery left. So technically, am laptopless. Am sad.
And returned to the drudgery of work to find out more drudgery has been added on. Observe:
According to the internship guide thingy, my period of attachment is from 2nd January to 14th June 2008. Now, if you'll look at a lovely calendar, it says June 14th is a Saturday. So in actual fact, my last day of work would be Friday the 13th, right?
Wrong.
Because thanks to people who really really know how to squeeze an intern for all her worth, I now have to go on a shoot on the 14th from 7am to 7pm. Thanks for the fabulous send off.
And did I add that apart from going on shoot (during which I will be bossed around by a true blue moron), I'm also hunting for locations? This is the result of cheapskaters making full use of the intern so they don't have to spend money hiring someone else.
I end in ten days, and I'm certain that on the night of that tenth day, I will be significantly happier, less grouchy, and much more lighthearted and over the moon than I've ever been in the last 165 days.

wtf.
Hart Hanson, you've got quite a number of angry fans on your hands. And I bet you can guess why.
You have produced what has got to be the worst season finale ever for Bones. The rationalization was ridiculous, the buildup was nonexistent, and the result was completely and totally unbelievable. The fact that it saw the light of day because you wanted to get "a bang for your buck" is clearly disregarding those that have been ardent followers of the show for three years. Your justification sucks wide.
And worst of all, you took one of them.
I'm seriously wondering how the on-set chemistry is going to work as a result of this insanity.
Season Four better have one helluva premiere to make up for the crappiest plot twist ever to hit Bones.
